Updated review
By D. Gaunt
I originally gave this toaster a 5 star review...after 2 years use - just after the guarantee expired - so did the toaster. Our friendly local electrical repair shop (who can repair anything) could not locate a replacement "control unit" and Kitchen Aid did not even have the courtesy to reply to my emails asking for sources for parts (I was not even asking them to replace the part, but just for help me locate it). For a toaster that costs this much (and doesn't even have a pop up spring) it is laughable that it can break so easily (with only light use as we only eat toast infrequently). I have learnt my lesson - maybe too late as I already own lots of Kitchenaid equipment. I'll be buying my electrical goods from an alternative manufacture in future.

Move over Dualit. KitchenAid Rules from now on!!!
By Rich B
For everyone who used to think that a Dualit was the epitome of toasters. YOU WERE WRONG.This - although it's only a toaster, is one of the best things I own. It's such a funky and unique design and works perfectly to boot.
Never had any problems with mine and it makes getting up in the morning that bit easier (I think I may be the saddest man alive to love my toaster this much)
Buy one now and make your kitchen complete!

Not worth the money
By MarmToastsmith
Our toaster stopped working suddenly, just outside of the two year warranty. My boyfriend dismantled it in order to fix it (he knows about electronics) and was disappointed to find that it's just a cheap toaster inside a stylish case. And as you can't get at the components you can't fix it. KitchenAid make big claims about the durability of their products, which is why we chose to spend so much money on a toaster, but this seems to be nothing more than marketing. We've contacted customer services and so far received no reply. I wish I'd just bought a cheap £30 toaster - it would probably have lasted longer.
